Directly following a wildfire disaster, the County shall conduct a post-fire assessment to identify vulnerabilities and projects that address vulnerabilities. HAZ-K Marine Oil Spill Response Planning
For County facilities that could potentially be the source of a marine oil spill or onshore oil spill, the County shall develop, exercise, review, and share their prevention and response plans with regulatory and emergency agencies. The County shall also continue to participate in the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Office of Spill Prevention and Response Area Contingency Plan process.

In coordination with federal, state, and local partners (e.g., CAL FIRE), the County shall update and maintain educational programs related to such issues as:
- Learning how to recognize the first signs of fire and take appropriate action;
- Living with the risks of fire within the wildland/urban interface; and
- Methods of improving the resilience of homes and other structures.
